This mac and cheese cookoff highlights connoisseurs ages 10 on up. Get your tickets or bring your favorite team members and best mac and cheese recipe. Teams cook for the chance to win S'MAC TALK bragging rights and prizes, and ticket holders sample loads of mac and cheese and vote for people’s choice winner.
The event is family friendly with music, food vendors, games for the young and the young at heart, and LOADS of mac and cheese.
Presented by Spire Energy, Gulf Coast Mac Down celebrates the roaring food scene of the South and timeless tradition of this beloved staple. The proceeds of Mac Down benefit The Cookery Project, a local 501c3 nonprofit.
Did Someone Say Mac & Cheese?
We are looking for serious committee members who can play a roll in planning, securing teams and sponsorships, and/or day of operations. You can snag free merch, entry to the event, and enjoy loads of mac and cheese for your volunteer efforts.
This is a great opportunity for anyone with or seeking event planning experience, fundraising experience, and nonprofit experience.

Free for ages 5 and under
Tickets include all the lagniappe fun, music, cake walk, and loads of mac and cheese. Vendors selling on S'mac Row may have separate sale items.
Beer, wine, and non alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
